Janealla received both her BFA and MA from Bowling Green State University. She recently retired after 38 years of teaching art in both public and parochial schools. She has received many awards both for her teaching and for her art. By giving private art lessons, she continues to teach and to influence the work of other young artists.
A member of the Findlay Art League, Janealla organizes programs for the group and schedules shows in their gallery. Along with Roger Powell, Janealla owns The Gaslight Gallery
Janealla Killebrew is a watercolor artist, painting portraits, landscapes, and illustrations. She maintains a studio in the historic Jones Building in downtown Findlay, Ohio. Her work has been displayed in several galleries in Ohio, and also in Switzerland and the Dominican Republic. She is presently illustrating a series of children’s books about the adventures of a dog named Valentine who lives in New York City.
