Did you know The Gaslight Gallery Art Studio offers art classes during the school year for students who are being home-schooled?
These classes are taught by Janealla Killebrew, who retired after 38 years of teaching art in both public and parochial school. During that time, she developed art curriculum for all grades that goes beyond State requirements. These are the lessons she will use to teach your children.
Classes will begin after Labor Day and continue through December. They will resume in January and continue through April. Classes will be scheduled to fit the ages and available times of the students who register.
If Findlay Schools delay, Gaslight will delay. Gaslight will cancel if Findlay Schools close. A make-up date will be offered.
Students will be drawing, painting, and learning to manipulate various two and three- dimensional media. The lessons will be built on each other, so students will be learning art elements and design principles, and looking at the works of many artists. They will learn how to draw, paint, cut and glue, manipulate 3D materials, stitch, weave, etc. They will learn while producing drawings, paintings, books, and other art works. Lessons will become more in-depth for older students.
The cost per semester will be $150 for the first child in a family, which is $10 per class, and includes all materials. The second, third, and fourth child would be $100. Payment can be made monthly, bi-weekly, or for the entire semester. There is no reduction for missed classes; students enrolled will be charged for the entire semester.
